Amburgey recently joined a special episode of "In Case You Missed It" to discuss his new role. As a mission-driven person, he said he loves serving people who serve people and is excited about the opportunities to enhance the day-to-day lives of those public servants who are serving citizens, businesses and constituents. Amburgey found the people at Euna similarly passionate about what they do to help people. He believes there is no better way to impact a very large number of people and communities to help make the world a better place than through gov tech.
COVID-19 upended the market, proving that the public sector can drive toward software as a service (SaaS) and operate the government differently in the new world of remote workforce and connectivity. At the same time, the federal government has been "pretty nice to local governments lately" by providing the funding they need to further transformation. Such opportunities in the marketplace piqued his interest and influenced his decision to join Euna where he intends to leverage the "good, bad and ugly" of his public-sector SaaS transformation journey experiences.
When asked his No. 1 priority as he takes the helm, he broke it down into learning everything he can, communicating and sharing the company's passion, and getting out to customers to make sure they understand their needs, what they love and what can be done better. Amburgey wrapped up by thanking the public sector for what they do and promising to help them evolve and transform to positively impact the citizens they serve.
