Hoffman brings about 20 years of experience to the role, most recently serving as the department’s finance director and director of administrative services.
Hoffman first joined the organization in 2005, which has allowed him to gain knowledge in a number of areas. He understands contract negotiation, IT procurement and purchasing, accounting, records management and legislative relationships, Riley stated.
“He has interacted with every operational area in IT and his extensive experience within state government makes him an asset to NDIT," Riley said in a release. "I am honored that he has decided to take on this challenge."
Hoffman takes the new role immediately. His job responsibilities include assisting the CIO, prioritizing customer experience across the organization, improving operations on a continuous basis and maintaining the CIO's continuity of vision throughout the department.
